Motorola Brings Motoroi To Korea, Coming To America

The Motorola Droid and Milestone are about to be joined by a very close relative called the Motorola Motoroi. We just got done telling you how SK Telecom is going big on Android and it seems their first Android Phone will be the Motoroi which looks unmistakeably like the Droid/Milestone:

The rumors we had written about of Motorola’s plan to launch the Motorola Backflip or the Enzo a few weeks ago, have turned out to be true. Motorola has unveiled the Motorola Backflip android smartphone at CES 2010.The Motorola Backflip has a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The phone measures 53 x 108 x 15.30 mm and weighs 133 gms.

The Motorola Backflip has a reverse flip full QWERTY keyboard that flips under the phone when opened. Closed both the keyboard and the screen face out.
The phone comes with a trackpad on the back for navigation.
The phone runs the Android 1.5 operating system, upgradeable to Android 2.x, and is powered by a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor.
The Motorola Backflip works on GSM 850/900/1800/1900, WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 networks, and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps.
The phone sports Motorola’s MOTOBLUR user interface that allows users to customize their home screen and sync information of different contacts in one place that can be delivered automatically to the home screen.
Users can easily access popular social networking sites and send and receive messages from Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.
The Motorola Backflip is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with continuous digital zoom and autofocus.
Connectivity features include Stereo Bluetooth v 2.0, full HTML browser, WiFi at 802.11 b/g, GPS, aGPS, 3.5-mm jack, and USB 2.0.
There is also an Android media player, video recording at 24 fps, and support for AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WAV, MIDI, AAC+ formats.
The Motorola Backflip comes with 2GB microSD memory and support for 32GB memory via microSD card.
There company has not parted with any information about when the phone will be launched and at what price.
The company has also not indicated the regions (including India) in which the phone will be launched first.
